Have you heard? World Cardmaking day is just 3 days away! I never participate in WCD day before and hopefully this year I'll be a part of this celebration. How do you celebrate? As for me, I will drop by Smidapaper with my girlfriend in the morning, have lunch and the rest of the day will be spend on making cards :) Opps...got to cancel my facial appointment....lol. Oh yeah...please do check out Cath at Moxie Fab World. She's doing a world tour of card making.....unforunately, she did not include Malaysia. But that's alright as I can see all the fabulous creations that she'll be featuring from all over the world. How excited!
Anyway, here's another card I created on last weekend. Sheila gave me some new embossed cardstock to try. The cardstock has some beautiful raised pattern and I try not to cover it up so much. Ok, this is not good. I can't remember the brand that I use for the stamp. Was it from Fancy Pants???
See the glossy accents on the stamped trees? I love how it gives the image a translucent surface :) I made my own snow by tearing 2 pieces of white cardstock and top it off with stickles. How easy :)

It's Monday......
Hello sistas! I just drop off my in-laws at the airport today....they are going for a holiday to Taiwan. I'm gonna be alone again but my SIL will come over to stay with me for a few nights.
Today I would like to share with you the cards I made last weekend. In my opinion, kraft paper goes well with any color and you don't have to crack your head about matching the color. For this card, I'm using October Afternoon paper and rub-ons (the tiny butterfly). I've been keeping this thread for almost 13 years and finally put it to good use :)
**Edit to add: I entered this card for the Cards blog challenge.
Have a wonderful day! See ya!

As for this card, I combined the October Afternoon paper with lots of stitching. As I don't have a sewing machine, it took me quite a while to handstitched the borders. But it's ok coz I was watching Emmy at that time :) Then I apply the ducks in a row rub-ons. They are so darn cute! Don't you just love them?? The ribbon is from Making Memories (I {HEART} pink!)
Have a wonderful day! See ya!

Hello to you
Happy Friday! This week past by really fast! I hope my weekend will be slow though :) Just a very quick post to show you the card I made for Smidapaper 2 months ago.
The paper are from Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon. Two of my favourite brands in one card! How cool!! Can you see the sheer maya road tag? The sentiment is a die cut from Cuttlebug. I don't have this die...it's from Sheila (the owner). I love it! I would say that this card have all my favourite things...stitching, flower, button and my fav paper :)

Trip to Ipoh
I had a busy yet fantastic weekend! How about you? I went for a short trip to Ipoh with my family on Sunday. Man, I ate a lot during the entire journey. I've got some photos to show you here.
First up....BREAKFAST
I had butter toast, half boiled egg and a glass of iced coffee. I keep it light and simple. Got to save some space for more food :)

Next is....LUNCH. We were supposed to go for yong tau fu (local food) but the stall was not open until 4pm. Instead, we went for wan tan mee (dumplings noodle). At first, I didn't know that the shop was that popular until I saw clippings of newspaper on the wall. One must assume that with the wide coverage from the media, the food must be very tasty right? How wrong! The only thing that's nice is the sui kao (prawn dumplings). A total dissappointment!
Wan Tan Mee (dumplings noodle...cantonese style).
Stewed pork ribs.
This is the tasty prawn dumplings. At least one of the best I've tasted so far.
Luckily the rojak (fruit salad...the Malaysian style) we ordered taste good.
TEA TIME.......I'm a big fan of donut. I even bought three more for take away. Yummy!
Next is DINNER. The place we went are so jam packed with people. I was sweating all over while having my dinner. But dinner was GOOD! Everyone else in my family enjoyed it. So it worth the sweat...lol. We ordered lots of food but I only have two photos to show you. You know why? Coz I was too busy eating that I totally forgotten about taking pictures :)
We had stir fry crab in black pepper and salted egg. This is really good!
And lastly an ice cold mixed fruits for dessert....yummylicious!
Thanks for visiting me! Have a great day!

More Cosmo Cricket goodness
I'm so loving Cosmo Cricket I tell ya! Their papers are so pretty, so cute, so fun, so whimsical, so vintage and I'm SO addicted to it!! Oh no! I need to go to rehab....LOL! Seriously, I'm so in love with Cosmo Cricket right now. If I have the money, I would fill my craft room with everything Cosmo Cricket and I'll never run out of supplies...haha :)
Ok...let's back to reality. I have one more card to share today. Yep...you got it right...it's Cosmo Cricket paper again(someone pls tell me I'm not crazy?). These are from the Mr Campy collection. I handcut the trees out of the paper and lined it on top of the tag (the tag is traced out from Maya Road sheer tag) then, I stamped the sentiment onto it using black ink by Tsukineko. The stamp is by Imaginisce. A girl can't seem to get enough of glittery things, which is why I add some platinum stickles onto the trunk/branches. I distressed the cut out tag with Ranger tea dye ink...you can't really see it in this shot coz it's very subtle.
Isn't that moose toy the cutest thing? It was given to me many years ago by a colleague who at that time went to Canada for a business trip. Since we are at it...let me share with you some photos I took of the souvenirs I received over the years. Eight years to be exact :)
I have three trays that are attached to my cubical. I displayed each tray with souvenirs I received from my colleagues. This tray here is filled with souvenirs from Asia...there are Hong Kong, Bali, Japan, Taiwan, China...etc.
I hope you enjoy! Take care and happy crafting!

And this tray mainly displayed souvenirs from US. Since our HQ is in San Jose and many of my colleagues will travel to US for work purpose. When they return from their business trip, they will usually get me something :)
These are from all over the world. Mostly are from Australia, the rest are from Paris, Holland, UK...etc.
Ain't this wind chime cute? I noticed that most of my souvenirs from US are from San Francisco :)
And this poor CPU hold my fridge magnets. I know I shouldn't have stick anything on it but that's the only suitable place I can find :)
I hope you enjoy! Take care and happy crafting!

Something to share......
I created three cards yesterday night and I'm so happy that I accomplished my mission. I just signed up for the Unity Stamps KOT and since I'm going to incorporate more stamp into my cards, I challenged myself to use the damask stamp from the Making Memories wedding line. I wanted to see how many cards I can create with just a stamp. And I'm happy I made three. And here they are...
To create the background, I ink the damask stamp with Brilliance Pearlscent Orchid and stamped on a white cardstock. For the added touch of shimmer, I add some pink blings on it. Then, I tore a piece of white cardstock and adhered to the stamped background and tie a ribbon around it. And voila....a super easy card within 30 mins :)
For this card, I changed the background to blue. I never staple my card before and decided to give it a try.
This concept of this card is pretty much the same as the pink card. The only difference is the color and the technique I used to stamp the background. To create this background, I placed a butterfly mask over the white cardstock and then spritzed it with the gray shimmer mist by Tattered Angels. I did not capture the butterfly mask but it look clearer in real life. Instead of using cardstock, I tore a piece of vellum and adhered it to the stamped background. Then I finish it off with ribbon and some pearls.
It's such a breeze to create with stamps. Why it took me so long to realized it? lol :)
Happy Tuesday!

Get Sketchy #4
Woohoo!! It's FRIDAY!! Happy Friday yo! I watched Final Destination with my MIL yesterday. Who would've thought that my MIL were the one who suggested that we watch this movie :) Cool huh? This movie is about a bunch of people who initially escaped death but were later killed one by one in horrific accidents. There were blood, exposed flesh, sound of crushing bone....and all the horrible stuff. My leg was a bit wobbly after watching the movie. Must the effect of seeing too much gory stuff. Opps, sounds like I'm getting old...lol :)
Anywho, I managed to complete a card yesterday using the sketch from Get Sketchy. This is another order from a colleague of mine. He wanted a girl with a puppy on the card front. Yet another challenge. Now, I'm not a person who have talent for drawing. So, what did I do? Clipart of course! I found this cute clip art from the internet and print it out. Then, I traced it on a white cardstock and and fill the outline with black pen. I try to draw with a steady hand to obtain a clean outline. Then, I fill the image with color pencil. Paper are from none other than Cosmo Cricket :)

2S4Y ~ Think Of You
Happy Wednesday to you! And Friday is fast approaching! Yeay!
Today I'm gonna show you what I did for 2S4Y. It'd been months since I last participated in their challenge and I'm so glad I took the time to play along this week. I use the Early Bird collection (Cherry Pie & Farmers Market) from Cosmo Cricket. I absolutely {heart} Cosmo Cricket! Their paper are so beautiful and I had so much fun using them! Don't you love them too?
The blooms are cut out from the Farmers Market paper and I arranged it at the side of the scalloped circle which I cut from the Cherry Pie paper. I add some pearls on the center of the flowers and also on the bottom left corner of the card. The letters sticker are from MM.

Card for a bloggy friend
I made this card for a bloggy friend (Her blog: A Little Bit Of Everything) that I met not too long ago. We chat through MSN occassionally and it was fun to have someone to chat with in the middle of the night :) Her birthday was on Saturday and I didn't know it until yesterday. I know this came late but it's the thought that counts right?? Lol :) Anyways, I hope she likes green because I didn't know what color to go for except for my fav color :) The paper are from Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday collection. The die-cut flowers and the bracket are from Making Memories which I had for a while. Can you tell that I'm dabbling with the shabby chic style? I hope I pull it off this time :) Oh yeah...I stapled my card for the first time. Although it's not significant in this photo but it sure look different in real life.
p/s: Evelin, 'Happy Belated Birthday to ya'! If you read, please send me your home address so I can snail mail this card to you.
Thanks for stopping by here! Enjoy your day!

Cutesy Cards
Happy Monday to you! I'm finally back to crafting after a few days lapse. I wasn't feeling my best last week. I was sick and tired and moody and angry! I don't know why. But I'm feeling much better now. I have been busy on weekends and I managed to create four cards which out of three are orders from my colleagues. All these four have to be the cutest cards I've ever made thus far. And challenging too! My 'customer' requested a dog card and another requested a bear card. I scratched my head and squeezed my brain on how the heck should I make these cards. It sucks when you wanted to create but nothing came out of it. That's what happened to me on Saturday. I spent the whole afternoon of Saturday created just one card (the Bundle of Joy card) which is uber simple but took me hours to complete. Can you believe it?? I was so frustrated! Then, miraculously my mojo flow back to me on Sunday and I managed to create three more cards. Oh boy...I was so happy!
The first is a bear card which my colleague wanted to give for his wife's birthday. Alright, this card had me put on my thinking cap. It took me almost a week to think. I did one a few days earlier but wasn't too happy with the outcome that I literally discarded it. The bear were hand drawn, cut and pieced together. Though it took me quite some time to do this but I enjoyed every moment of it. I had plan to make a dress for the bear but totally forgotten about it. Next time, maybe :) I use the Black Magic Core'dinations cardstock as the bakground. I ran in through my cuttlebug using the happy birthday folder and sanded the raised surface to reveal the pink core. Don't you love pink and black?? It makes me smile!

Next, is a card for newborn. All papers are from October Afternoon (i {heart}) except for the die cut giraffe which is from Fancy Pants Kraft Kuts collection. I love the cork alphabets sticker. It's so fun and easy to use. My friend bought for me while she was in US a couple of months back. It cost only USD1 per pack! It's cheap!
The third card is for a dog lover who at the same time loves pink (just like me!). Papers are from October Afternoon and cardstock are from Bazzill Basic. If the bear card was difficult to do then this is one level more difficult than the former. I had no idea what a dog card should look like. I don't think I can pull this off without the help of template.
I hope you are not bored yet. I have one last card to show you. I just got my Cosmo Cricket paper last week and I wanted to use it so badly. I think it's from the Girl Friday collection (correct me if I'm wrong). The cute duckies are cut out from October Afternoon Ducks in a row collection.
I hope you like what I share with you today :) Bye and have a great day!

A Vintage & Shabby Chic Challenge
Hi there! I hope you are having a great day. Mine not so good as I'm a bit under the weather. Been coughing for two days already. I need to see a doctor soon :)
Today I'm going to share with you a card I made for the Moxie Fab Stretch Your Holiday Style: A Vintage and Shabby Chic Challenge. Cath asked us to create either a shabby chic or vintage project and I went for shabby chic. If you know me, you know my style is not shabby chic nor vintage. And I struggled quite a bit for this card. Initially, my card is fo the Classy & Elegant challenge but somehow it looked more like shabby chic.
So what do you think? Does it look like shabby chic to you?? I certainly hope so :)

The paper are some leftover from last year's Christmas. Was it from Basic Grey? I can't remember anymore. The snowflake were traced from a template and hand cut from a thin chipboard. I painted it with white dimensional glue and sprinkled lots of glitter dust on it. It looked very shimmery in real life. The brads on the snowflake is from Bo Bunny which I had for almost a year.

Get Well Soon
Hello! Happy Saturday to ya all! Tonight I wanted to share a card using the stamp that I borrowed from my friend, Jane. This stamp came in handy as my colleague ordered a get well soon card from me earlier this week. I filled the stamped image with watercolor pencils and Sakura pen. FUN! Paper is from October Afternoon and flower sticker is from Sassfrass.
Enjoy your weekend!! See ya!

Rabbit Card
My fellow colleague ordered a birthday card from me to give to his girlfriend. His only request is to have a rabbit on the card. I said okay but my heart said otherwise. I've never done a rabbit piecing before and I'm not sure if I can pull if off this time. After some thoughts only I recalled that I have a rabbit template which I got for free from a magazine quite a while back. It saved me the trouble to think further :)
Paper are from October Afternoon and cardstock are from Bazzill Basic. The letter stickers are MM and the rest are from my stash. And ohhh...I dab some stickles on the rabbit too. It's much more glittery in real life. Can you see my stitching too? I'm so in need of a sewing machine. Hand stitching is time consuming. Ok, tell me if you like this rabbit card. I'm going to do a bear card soon...an order from another colleague.

Happy Anniversary
****Edit to change photos

It took me one and a half hour to complete this card and here's what I did:
The paper you see here is a journaling page by Making Memories. I adhered it to a white cardstock and cut it according to the shape. The heart is handcut from chipboard then, I paint it with white dimensional glue and sprinkled lots of glitter dust by Hero Arts. I don't have swirl rhinestones so I made my own. I try to make the swirl as close as the sketch but I don't think I succeed :)
Come by again...I have one more card to show you :)
It's Tuesday already! My in-laws went for two days trip to Genting Highlands and that means I'll be all alone at home....for two days! Well, I have no problem staying at home alone, just when night falls I would start to imagine all sorts of stuff. Like when I wash my face, I would imagine that 'something' is behind me or while I was sleeping, I would imagine that 'something' is standing at a corner watching me. My mind wouldnt rest unless I hit the sack and fell asleep immediately. I usually keep my bedside lamp on when I'm alone because I don't want to be blinded by the darkness. I would rather see it than hear it and not knowing what it is. Touch wood! But luckily I have my girlfriends to accompany me tonight...at least for dinner :)
I'm happy to play along with this week's sketch by the ever talented Michelle from Card Patterns

Happy Birthday
It's me again!! Yep....two posts in a day! How nice! I have one more card (commissioned by my colleague) to show you here. My friend Jane just recently bought some SU stamps and she's kind enough to let me borrow them. Let me tell you, those SU stamps that she bought are so CUTE! She bought six (if I remembered correctly) and I borrowed two from her. I'll show you what I created using one of the stamp.

As you can see, I don't really use much stamp on most of my card. But I'm having tons of fun playing with these SU stamps. I purposely bought a new set of watercolor pencils to use with these stamps. How do you like my coloring?? I don't know what happen but my hand was shaky when I took this picture. So the image was a bit blurry. Oh yeah...see that small butterfly again? Yep...it's cut out from Prima flowers....it's addictive :) Not sure if you can see it from here but I dab some stickles all over the image to make it glittery :)
Get Sketchy #2
Happy Monday to you my dear friends! I finally watched 'UP' last week and I LOVE this movie! That kid is sooo adorable and funny!! Alright....I'm not going to spill any more details here....especially if you have not watch the movie yet. Hurry...go watch now...you'll love it! And don't think that you are too old for cartoons. I watched it with my in-laws and they enjoyed the movie so much...lol :)
Did you know there's a new sketch challenge site called 'Get Sketchy'?? You shoud hop over and look at all the beautiful cards showcased there. You will not be dissappointed! What's more fun is two of my bloggy friends Ann and Amy are in the design team!
This is what I made based on the sketch. The bonus challenge is to use a punch. So, I whip out my Fiskars border punch and used it on pink PP and back it up with white cardstock to contrast it. I love pink and so everything on this card is mostly pink. See that small butterly? I actually cut it out from prima flowers. I've been saving this swirly rub-on by Crate paper for quite some time that I decided to use it on this card and top it off with pearls.

I hope you are having a great day! I've been telling myself to enjoy even though it's only Monday :) Tata!!

Card for Granny (not my granny)
Woot! Woot! It's Friday already!! How time flies! This week is a busy week for me. We had a department outing yesterday and I'm glad it's finally over. We did a mini hunt and a cooking competition. We usually hunt for treasure but this time we twist a bit and hunt for ingredients instead. After that they will have to cook with whatever ingredients that they found during the hunt. We have 8 teams and I'm amazed that all of them cooked well! The food taste nice and they put in extra effort in decorating their table. Imagine, we have fine dining table setup in the middle of the beach...lol :) We even have survivor like decoration...how fun!

I'm sorry I have not been really active this week. I'm sorry if I did not visit your blog. I will be back next week...promise :) Here's one more card to share. A friend asked me to make a card for her granny's 80th b'day. I personally like this card and I hope her granny likes it too. What you think?
