Admit One : Ticket to Happiness

Happy Wednesday to y'all!

It has been a good week so far and I'm back with another card using some new stuff. For this card, I'm using paper by Terresa Collins (black houndstooth) and American Crafts (my October Afternoon paper seriously need a break *grin*). I cut a tag from kraft paper and stamped the PTI text background using distress ink. Then, I cut the green polka dots paper into strips, distress the edges and curmpled. Notice that cute lil birdie perched on a branch? It's a digital stamp by Tiffany Doodles. Tiffany (the owner) is surely talented and has lots to offer in her store that you should really check it out!! You won't want to miss this!
I print out the bird image on a cream cardstock, fussy cut and accent it with lots of glitter glue. It doesn't really show in the picture but it looks very glittery in real life.

I hope you are enjoying your day! Got to get back to work now :)

I love butterfly!

Hey there! I'm happy to say that I have a card to share with you all today. It feels good when this happen. Last week, I have zero creativity but this week I can feel that my mojo has started to flow back into my life. Slowly but surely :) Let's get into today's card, shall we?

Actually I don't have the intention to make anything yesterday as I only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. Thought of going to bed early but a girl got to do what a girl's got to do *grin*. With that in mind, I went into my craft room aka store room and made a super quick card. I think I made this under half an hour without a sketch. Yay...a pat on my back :) Can see all the PTI goodness on this card? Love it! I also paired with the butterfly lace cardstock by Creative Imaginations. Isn't it perfect for the butterfly stamp?

I hope you enjoy today's card! See ya!

You Light Up My Life!

Hello ladies!! I know I disappeared from the blog world for five days and it feels great to be back! Oh...I miss y'all! My mojo wandered quite far this time and only returned on last Friday. Just in time for me to create a card :)

Today's card featured the cute hot air ballons stamp by Practicng Creativity! I paired it with paper from My Mind's Eye because I thought the color is perfect for the background. To create the clouds cut out, first I stamped the clouds image on a piece of rustic cream cardstock and cut the outline using a craft knife. Simple card in an hour :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day ahead!

A gift for a special friend.........

Hello there! I hope you are having a great day! Mine is not that great....I'm losing my mojo this week. Oh boy! If you found it, please return to me asap...lol :) Seriously, I'm not in the mood of creating this week and I need to do some blog hopping to get my mojo back. Did this ever happen to you? It's not fun at all.

Anyways, let me share with you the card I made last weekend a special friend whom are very dear to me. I can't share too much here because she reads my blog. I just hope she likes it :)

I hope you are not sick of me using OA paper for most of my projects. I can't help it :) And ohh....I finally used the artisan tape by Pink Paislee and I LOVE it! Love the big Prima flower? It was given to me by my sweet babe, Jessy! I just adore this gal! We do chat on the phone every once in a while and the conversation usually last more than half an hour. We are chatty, aren't we?

The cup with a matching box. I just add a Prima flower and two stick pins by Making Memories.

That's all I have for today. Let's hope I'll get my mojo back and you shall see some update from me.

CAS

Happy Monday!

I have not been very productive over the weekend and only created two cards. And I'm here to share one of them with you. I wanted to do the weekly product feature but I find it difficult to use just one product for the whole week. Yeah...I can only do that with October Afternoon. You can call me bias :) But I do remember I have stuff that I love other than OA.....like Papertrey Ink. When it comes to paper, my favourite will always be OA but when it comes to stamps, it has to be Papertrey Ink. So, here's the card using my favourite stamps.

First, I stamped the text background in white acrylic paint by Making Memories. When it dries, the stamped background will have a slight raised effect like embossing. Then, I stamped the flourish in distress ink. The design is very much inspired by a t-shirt worn by a friend of mine.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!

THANK YOU!!

Edited to add: I entered this card for the MFW Fun with Fabric Challenge

Hello lovelies! I just want to say a big "THANK YOU" for your kinds words and sweet emails that you've been sending the last few days! This week has been the most exciting week since I started this blog almost 3 years ago. I never knew that blogging and cardmaking could be so fun and addictive. I never knew that I'll be making great friends from around the world. To be in a design team and getting published is never part of my dream when I started this blog. But as I grow, all this has becoming a dream of mine and I work to achieve it. When I fail and on the verge of giving up, you all just back me up and gives me the support that I needed. I am so THANKFUL to have you all as my friends and you are the reason why I'm still here. I LOVE you all....seriously!!

To show my appreciation, I'll be having a giveaway soon. But first let me mail out my 1st blog candy. Yes, it's a month ago and I still keep it. (Annie.....if you are reading this, I'm sorry and I'll make sure I'll go to the post office today)

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my SIL. She ordered a card from me (it's been a while since I sell my cards) yesterday and I thought what a perfect timing. Because I've been wanting to play with 2S4Y this week. This week is like an October Afternoon week for me. I've been using lots of paper from OA and I love it. Maybe I should do a post where I use a certain brand of products for the whole week. Let's say this week is October Afternoon and maybe next week is Cosmo Cricket or Papertrey Ink and so forth. What say you? Would it be fun? I would love to hear from you.

I had fun ruffling the paper fabric by Dear Lizzy for American Crafts. It does look like a skirt, doesn't it? It's fun and super easy to make. The chipboard butterfly is by K&Co that I had for a while and still hoarding it :) Hope you like it.

A little reminder on the Cutting Cafe giveaway.....you have until Thursday 11:59pm, May 13th (Malaysian time). Thanks for stopping by my lil crafty corner and hope you are having a great day!

WOOT! WOOT!

Woohoo! I am literally doing the happy dance right now!! Why you may ask. Because this card won the "Monochromatic" challenge at Caardvarks and this card won the "On Cue with Color" challenge hosted by Dawn and it's also a favourite pick by my dear friend Savitri! Wow...it's such a lucky day for me!

Today I don't have a card to share but instead I will show you a tag I made using paper by October Afternoon. Yes,  my love for OA is growing stronger than ever :) I combined a few other things like the die-cut ticket by Pink Paislee, chipboard bird by American Crafts and lace by Maya Road. I bought the twill from Carly a while back. The thing I love most other than the paper is the pink vintage button that I had in my stash. Lovely!

A BIG THANK YOU for all the lovely comments that you all left on my blog!! You sure know how to brighten my day! I love y'all!

I had an affair........

.......with October Afternoon of course!! Pardon me for my cheesy post title. Hehe...what were you thinking?? I  just fell so much in LOVE with the new paper from October Afternoon called "The Thrift Shop and "Fly A Kite"! I had to grab them the moment I saw them in Smidapaper :)

My mom is in China right now, so we did not spend Mother's Day together. Since I didn't go back to my mom's place, I spent my Saturday and Sunday playing with my newly bought paper. Ahhh....such a bliss!

I did not list the supplies I used on these cards but if you have any question, just shoot me an email and I'll be happy to answer any of your question. Anything for you ladies :)

I love the soft colors of these paper. So girly girl right?

That's all from me today. But I will be back with more OA goodness! Stay tuned!

Fun Stuff!

Hello there!! Hope you are having a fabulous day! I am sure I do.

Before I go on to share my cards, let me show you the sketch that prompted today's cards. I've never share this before but each time I create, I have to have a sketch or a plan before I start. Be it my own or someone else's sketch. I always keep a sketch book near me and jot down whenever an idea pop up. So I thought it would be fun to share with you the sketch I did yesterday and the cards I created based on it. Feel free to use the sketch if you want to....that's why I am sharing here :) Do let me know if you create a card based on the sketch. I'd be happy :)

All supplies except the kraft card base and buttons are from October Afternoon. I will never get tired of it :) Btw, see my handriwting right there? Yes, terrible I know. I am still learning to like my own handwriting :)

This is the first travel card I've ever made using paper from Studio Calico, paperclips from Glitz Design and letter stickers from Jilibean Soup. The travel tag is from Scarlet Lime. A real simple card....just cut and paste :)

Have a great day my beautiful friends! Hugs to y'all!

Monochromatic Love

Yippeee!! It's Fridayyyy! Let's do the happy dance together! You can tell that I'm in a good mood today :) I've already got plans for tonight and over the weekend. And the best thing is, Monday is a holiday! WOOHOO!

Ok...enough about my excitement over the long holiday. Let me show you the card that I made. I wasn't planning on making any card yesterday because I was tired (been sleep deprived since last week). I reached home at 9pm, took my shower and went to my craft room to sort out the mess I created. While looking through the stuff I have, I realized that I have some collection of black rub-ons. You know black is not my usual color but this rub-ons is calling out to me (I'm weird that way). Guess what? A girl who's supposed to be in bed by 10pm ended up making cards way past her bedtime :) And this is what she created.....

Ok...I know I said that my love for shabby chic is fading but somehow I ended up with this. Notice the monochromatic color? This is my first time trying mono card and I'm entering it for the Caardvarks challenge. The sponsor for this challenge is Core'dinations and coincidentally the card base I used is also by this company. I was searching high and low for black cardstock then I stumbled upon this black cardstock with turquise core by Core'dinations. The alphabets and love rub-ons is by Glitz Design. The glitter chipboard heart is by Melissa Frances which my super sweet friend, Carly graciously sent to me all the way from Canada (Thanks hun!) The stitching at the bottom is not real though....it's rub-ons by Cherry Arte. The card is not complete without the beautiful lil flower by Prima :)

I'll be back tomorrow with another Cutting Cafe card. Till then....see you!

Happy Home + U R Berry Sweet

Hey there!

Today I have not one but two cards to share with you. I was in the mood of creating yesterday and as soon as I reached home from dinner with my family, I dashed into my craft room and started to dig into my old pile of October Afternoon paper. My love for shabby chic cards started to fade and I'm back with my simple and fun style. I would not say that my style is clean because I can't seem to leave the white space alone. I just have to add something to it.

First up is a card I made for 2S4Y.

Don't you love that puffy thickers from American Craft :)

Thanks for coming by and leave me some love. I hope you are having a great day!

Hello Friends!!

Hello there! I hope you are having a great day! I have a card to show you but before I get on to that, let me share a good news with you. This card was featured in the Embellish Stitching Color Challenge that I particpated a while ago. Yay! I'm doing the happy dance right now!

Also, I received this award from one of my sweetest and super talented friend, Carly! You should really check out her awesome blog. You'll be amazed I promise you.

Ok...I'm supposed to list 10 random facts about myself (warning: it could be boring so you may skip this part if you wish) So, here goes....

1. I must have a cup of coffee everyday.

2. I'm very impatient on the road and when I get mad, I'll drove very fast (that's bad I know).

3. I used to have people telling me that I look very serious and fierce but once they got to know me, I'm a total opposite. A bit on the crazy side I would say :)

4. It's only 5 min drive to Smidapaper (my local scrapbookstore) and I visit them almost every Saturday. We just joked about it last week that this is my new hang out place.

5. I met my husband when I was 17 years old and got married after been together for almost 11 years. It's a love at first sight kinda thing.

6. I got married a year ago but have not gone for our honeymoon yet. I insist that we go Bali and I'm still waiting....

7. I spend too much time on the internet.

8. My pet peeve is rude people.

9. My favourite show is Glee. I never missed a single episode and I can't wait for the 2nd season to air.

10. I consider myself  lucky to have a bunch of good and caring friends. I love them!

It's really fun to list down random things about myself. And I'm going to pass this on to 10 amazing friends that I've come to know through blogging.

1.Yvonne  2.Evelin  3.Jessy  4.Annie  5.Jill  6.Sparkle  7.Tiffany  8.Bonnie  9.Vivacela  10.Wati

I made this card yesterday night using more paper from American Crafts. It's all cut and paste....no stamping. I just realized that I have lots of paper and stickers that's been sitting in my basket (yeah I keep my supplies in basket) for too long. I promised myself to use them more often on my cards.

That's all I have for you today! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!

Thank You

Happyyy Fridayyy!! Yippeee!!! You know I always welcome Friday with open arms! I'll be staying over my mom's house over the weekend with no internet access, so I'm sharing this with you today. The color is totally inspired by a decor magazine I was reading. This is not my usual color but I thought of giving it a shot and do something out of my comfort zone. If you notice, you'll hardly see purple on my card unless if it's for challenge. Otherwise, no purple at all. It's not that I don't like this color.....just that I never thought of it. I don't know why. But I love how this turned out. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!
