Flutter by.....

Happy Wednesday y'all! Have you ever been in a situation where you don't feel like creating at all but suddenly you were so inspired by something that you can whip out a card within a short period of time? This happened to me last Thursday. I was feeling a bit boring at home and just don't have the mood to create. So I read my newly bought Better Homes and Garden magazine. I was flipping through the pages when one of the pic in the magazine caught my attention that I am back in the mood of creating. I went to my craft aka store room and whip out this card within 30mins. What inspired me is the green and brown color combo...and with that in mind, I took out my damask stamp by Prima and started to stamp the background. Then I started to play around with the butterfly chipboard by K&Co.....mix and match till I found these two pieces of butterfly chipboard that match perfectly. The lace is from my birthday present....I saved it for future use :) Add a ribbon and a pearl....and tadaaa....the finished card!

If you notice, this card does not have sentiment. What you suggest?? With or without sentiment??

A Happy Hello

Hello ladies! How's your weekend? Mine was good....went shopping with my mom yesterday and got myself a short pant and a shirt from MNG. So happy :)

Today I have another card to share with you. Well, I don't usually use pink and yellow but I got the color inspiration from a home decorating magazine and thought I would give it a go. The chipboard butterfly is by K&Co which I hoarded for a while. Finally, I put it in good use :) Inittially, I plan to draw the butterfly trail but on second thought I prefer to stitch. Those are French Knots that I learned a while back.

That's all I have for today......thanks for coming here! Hugs to y'all!

Thank Ewe

Happy Saturday ladies! Today's card features some of my favourite brand such as October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket.

The pattern paper is from Cosmo Cricket 'Girl Friday' collection and the sheeps are cut out from October Afternoon 'Farm Fresh' collection. The tree and the butterfly die-cuts are from October Afternoon too. Ain't that cute??

I rarely decorate the inside of the card but this time I decided to give it a try. Do you like it??

Thanks for stopping by and leave me the sweetest comments! You all are the best!!

Card Patterns Sketch #51

Happy Friday ladies!! I am finally back to blogging after been away for almost a week. Today I will share with you the card I made for Card Patterns. I'm not sure if I interprete the sketch correctly but it gives me inspiration to create this card.

Well, this is not my usual style but I always love shabby chic or vintage style with lots of layering. So here I am, doing the shabby chic style. Normally I'll use paper or products from the same manufacturer but this time I change things a little bit. The card base is pattern paper from Jilibean Soup, the polka dots paper is from My Mind's Eye, the journaling and sentiment die-cut is also from My Mind's Eye. The floral chipboard button is from Jenni Bowlin and the swirl jewel is by Prima. Can you see the lace doily tucked behind the journaling spot? This is the first time I ever use lace doily on my card. The one and only stick pin I have is from Scarlet Lime kit.

Coffee & Friends

Happy Friday!! I really worked myself out this week in preparation for Chinese New Year. Tomorrow is the eve and I'll be the cook for the day :) I hope I don't poison the entire family....lol :) I know Chinese from different country has their own way of celebrating CNY. Share them with me here....I would love to know.

I'll keep today's post really quick and simple. Here's the card I created the other day using my much neglected Hero Arts and Unity stamp. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp and the coffee cup is from Hero Arts. I bought the coffee stamp set almost two years ago when I first started cardmaking. In fact, that's the first stamp set I ever have. I only used it once and I shut the lights out of them until now :) The bitty dots is from PTI.

Thanks for stopping by!

2S4Y : Laura's sketch 45

Good morning ladies! I can't believe that my last post was alsmot 6 days ago! I'm such a bad blogger. Also, I lost my mojo to create. All I want is to just lay around and watch tv. Did that ever happen to you?? But I was so inspired by some of you that I get back my mojo back. I created two cards yesterday while watching Merlin on tv. One of the card was made based on Laura's sketch over at 2S4Y.

The sketch.....

The card......

The polka dots background is stamped using the PTI polka dots basic II. The paper flower and the tag is from my Scarlet Lime kit. Don't you just love the flower?? I know I did :) I inked the edges of the tag but the color doesn't seem right so I stop midway. The jewels are from Prima and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. I have never use this color combo before but I love it! I thought it look kinda shabby chic....what you think?

I love you

Morning ladies! It's Thursday already! Seriously, where do the time goes? Chinese New Year is only a week away and our house is a mess. Got major cleaning to do this weekend but we are hiring a cleaning lady to help out because I am still recovering from my backache. There are toilets to clean, windows to wipe, rooms to clean and lastly kitchen. I guess the worst is the kitchen and my room. I wonder if I can accomplish my mission in a day.

I received a request from hubby's friend to make a Valentine's card. So I whip out this card yesterday.

The paper is from My Mind's Eye the "Love Me Do" and "Be Loved" line. Love them! The stamped heart is by Basic Grey.

Embellish Magazine - Color Challenge with Ribbon

Hello! I am back with another card to share! Have you seen the latest challenge at Embellish Magazine?? Love it! I love pink, I love brown and I love ribbon! How could I not participate in this challenge when it has all my favourite things :)

The patterned paper is from my Scarlet Lime kit....not sure which brand it's from though. Did you notice that I love to tore my paper lately?? Love the look! See that smeared sentiment? Well, it supposed to be clean and crisp but I smeared the ink a little when I tore the edge of the cardstock. I was too lazy to stamp the sentiment aagain and so I smeared the entire sentiment with my finger. Boy, do I love the mistake I did! Btw, the sentiment is from Unity Stamp.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks for Everything Card

Good morning ladies! I am back in the groove!! I missed y'all! Really!! Today, I would like to share with you a card I made on last Saturday. I couldn't sleep and neither could hubby, so we did our own thing. He played poker on Facebook and I sat comfortably in our living room with the tv on and get creative. What a bliss :)

I made this card for a friend whom I can't reveal the name because she reads my blog. I will be sending this to her soon :)

A little update on my backache that lasted for almost a month! I was in a terrible condition last week and I was so emotionally and physically affected by the terrible backache. My back and neck was so stiff that every movement caused immense pain to my entire back right down to the leg. I have trouble walking and even breathing. I hunched so badly that I almost look like the 'Hunchback of Notredame'....lol. I had to rely on painkiller everyday.....without it I can't even get out of the bed. There's always side effect when taking painkiller. I get thinner and thinner each day and I look very sick and haggard. Everyday I have people commented on my weight loss and my pale face. Each of their comment is as sharp as a knife stab into my chest.....I am sad because it reminded how sick I was and I hate it. I was lost and didn't know what to do. I almost gave up until last Saturday that the pain gradually subsided. I don't know what happened but I am so glad that I finally felt better after being sick for a month! I can now be normal again without the help of medicine. THANK GOD!
