Merry & Bright

Good morning ladies!

Can you believe how fast time is passing by?? Christmas is just 25 days away! So much to do yet so little time. My top list of things to do is to put up the Chistmas tree. Have you put up yours?

I am now in Christmas mode so please bear with me and don't get sick of my Christmas cards :) The stamped image is from PTI Take A bough stamp set and the paper is from OA. I layered the ornaments with glossy accent...but you can't really see it in the picture.

Thanks for coming here! Have a great Monday!

Christmas Cardmaking Class at Smidapaper

Happy Sunday ladies!

It's been a crazy week over here! I'm having lots of late night sleeps, then cousin's visit from Singapore and rushing to get my Christmas cards done. Phew! A day just isn't enough for me. I'm sorry if you don't see me comment on your blog that often. Not that I forget you but because of my crazy schedule. I hope things will get back to normal again :)

Sheila told me that she's going to schedule my upcoming class at her store on Dec 10th. Since Christmas is just around the corner and making Christmas cards would be right theme for this class. If you are living in Penang and are interested to join in the fun, go here for more details.

Have a fun day!

More Christmas cards to share.....

Good Morning peeps!

I had a great time creating with my SIL yesterday! She stayed with us for the weekend and we spent the whole of Sunday afternoon making cards. I was very happy that I made four cards, three out of which are of the same design. I'm gonna make a few more this week.

Do you notice lately that I love to make clean and graphic cards?? It's less time consuming and fun to make. But the only problem I have is I hoard lots of pattern paper and now they sit in the basket collecting dust. Not to mention that my monthly Scarlet Lime kit also come with at least 10pcs of pattern paper each month. Oh boy...I will never finish using them! Maybe I should come up with a blog candy or something to give away those paper. Please don't get me wrong of finding an easy way to get rid of my paper. I just want to share what I have and to give to those who need them more than me :)

Warmest Wishes

Morning peeps!

It's been a while since I update my post. A lot of things have been going around (good things though) and I'm too busy to make cards. I hope this week I'm able to sit down and be creative again :) This is a card I made yesterday. A very quick and simple card that took me only 15 mins to complete it.

Christmas is just a month away and I have lots of cards to make for this festive season. Everyone has been making Christmas cards and I'm falling behind. Got to start working on it soon....I hope :)

I thought I would share this with you.....I recently submitted seven cards to CARDS April call and none of them were picked. I try not to take this personally but somehow I feel a bit sad. So many thoughts have been running through my mind but one thing I keep telling myself is don't give up just because of rejection. I should learn from rejection/failure and keep improving myself. Not sure if I have the courage to submit again but I will try. And congrats to all my friends (you know who you are) whose cards are being choosen....I will take you as my inspiration :)
Thanks for stopping by!

It's A Boy!

I received an order for a baby card last week but totally forgotten about it. Thanks to Kezia (my customer...also a friend) for the reminder. So I whip out this card yesterday. I wanted to create a wave-like motion so I trimmed the paper using my ric-rac scisscors. While doing this, it suddenly gave me an idea that I could make my own ric-rac paper strip instead of spending money on ric-rac ribbon :) Can you see the sentiment clearly? It's a new alphabet stamp set that I bought last week.

Thanks for visiting my blog and I appreaciate each and every of the sweet comments that you left for me!

Plum Crazy Challenge

Morning ladies!! Have you watch the Michael Jackson 'This is it' show? I watched it 2 weeks ago with HB and my FIL (FIL as in father-in-law *wink*). I was amazed by how talented MJ was during the entire show! The dancers and the musicians are amazing too! I was especially drawn to those hot and hunky dancers...(if you know what I mean...lol). The songs that MJ sang during the show brought back memories too :) How about you? Do you like the show?

Anyways, I have a card made for the Plum Crazy challenge by Cath at Moxie Fab World. I rarely use this color which is why it's a challenge to me. The funny thing is I don't even have this color of cardstock in my stash. I bought it just for the challenge :) The moment I saw the Plum Fabric Flower Bobby Hair Pins that Cath featured on her blog, I was so inspired that I created this card.

The flowers are created by layering the circles that I tear from cardstock. Then I add black brads to the center....just like the flowers from the picture. I used the text stamp by Prima to create the background. Then I created the butterflies by stamping small dots (Unity Stamps) on a plum cardstock and punched out. I also stitched the butterflies with some French knots. The sentiment is from Unity Stamp too. I think this is by far the plum'mest' (is there such a word??) card I've ever made :)

Birthday Cards

Hello there! It's been a busy week here so please forgive me if I don't update my post regularly. HB just got home last week after being away for two months and I don't really get to create much except for a number of orders I received this week. I'm working on it still and I'm gonna share with you two of the cards I made yesterday. I have a few more coming up tomorrow :)

I feel like I've been neglecting my pattern paper these days and here's this card using my favourite paper from October Afternoon and also my favourite stamp from Crate Paper. Aren't those birdies the cutest thang???

I just love creating simple cards! They are cute and easy to make :)

Thanks for visiting me!
