Shabby Wedding Card

My high school friend, Emilie is getting married tomorrow and being such a long time friend I decided to make a wedding card for her special day. She loves lace and vintage style, so I tried to incorporate them into my design. I had this 6x6 Pink Paislee paper from the Sweetness collection sitting in my paper basket waiting for me to use them. So easy. But the hardest part is to choose the right embellishments. I took out almost everything I had and made a huge pile of mess on my desk before I found the right embellishments for the card. But in the end it's worth the effort and I really hope she loves it when she sees it tonight :)

It's Friday and I hope you have a great day!

Scrap-It-Lah Challenge

Hubby just left this morning after his three months break. It was kind of emotional for me but I managed to hold back my tears. It will take me at least a few days to adjust my daily routine. But I'm all good :) Today I have yet another layout to share. I created this a few weeks ago, then I saw the February challenge hosted by Scrap-It-Lah. It has been a while since I joined a challenge so I thought why not participate this time. It's a No-Red-Or-Pink Valentine's challenge. How fun! So here's my no red or pink challenge.....

I really really loved the Lost n Found collection by MME! It has to be my favorite collection ever! I was so inspired by the pattern and the color. I did some cutting here and there and I really loved the result. Though simple but it's true to my style :) Oh yeah, I have to credit my Jessy babe for all the cutting inspiration!

Hope you have a great week ahead!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!! How did you celebrate it with your special someone? I would really love to know :) Me? We did not celebrate because I had to work and the last time we celebrated V-Day was 12 years ago. Yeah, no kidding! Hubby said being with me everyday is like Valentine's day to him (I know he lied but it worked, lol) Are all guys like that?

Since today is Valentine's Day, I am sharing a card I made for Smidapaper. The heart stamp is from Hero Arts and sentiments are from TechniqueTuesday. I hope you like it!

XOXOXO!

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Hello Friends!! Today marks the 4th day of Chinese New Year and I am wishing all of my Chinese friends "Happy Chinese New Year" and may the year of Rabbit brings you good health and wealth! We've been really busy for the past couple of days but surprisingly I wasn't feeling tired at all :) I ate a lot too...mostly on sweet things and I am sure my sugar level had risen up, lol.

I got disconnected from the internet for four days and it was so miserable for not being able to update my blog. I even nearly missed a deadline! Anyways, I am back and I have a layout to share. I have been wanting to create a layout so badly and I am happy I finally did. I used a mix of patterned paper by Crate Paper, October Afternoon, Girl Paperie and My Mind's Eye. It took me a while to create this but I am happy with the final result. I hope you like it too.

The smiling girl in the picture is my talented scrapbooker friend, Jessy! Jessy is the real deal and we've known each other for almost two years now. This picture was taken at The Curve in Jan 2010 when we met for the first time. I remembered how nervous I was the first time I met her but her friendliness put me at ease. We chatted for hours and completely ignored my poor hubby who was there with us at the time, lol. Since then, both of us have been very chatty and we can easily chat for hours and hours over the phone. Jessy has been very supportive of me and I am so glad that we are friends!

Happy Sunday!
