Jillibean Soup: Shocked Layout

Hello Firday! I am so glad that this week gone by real fast and weekend is almost here. I'm so tired that it took a huge toll on my sanity. Just so you know Abby is the culprit of my dark eye circles. I haven't had a good sleep for a long long time and it gets worse during teething or when she's sick. I'm praying hard that she will let her mama have some sleep tonight. Just one night and I will be very happy.

Now onto some scrappy stuff, this layout was up on the Jillibean Soup blog today. I challenged myself to use up the journaling spots that were lying on my desk and started arrange them on my page. Once I'm happy with the placement, I glued them down and even sewed the title together. My mother-in-law captured this photo with the flashlight on and Abby was shocked by the bright flash that she gave us this funny expression. So cute!

Hope you have a great weekend ahead!

Published Cards and Layout

I've been hit by flu bug since last week and it has now progressing to cough. Can't say I'm on the road to recovery but it's getting there. Keeping my fingers cross.

I haven't been sharing my latest pubs with you so I thought it might be good to do it today. Since having a child, I haven't been as active in submitting as I did before. I used to submit every other month and create stuff just for publication purpose but I hardly have the time now. Let's see what the next few months bring.

So here goes........

Photo Day

As I kick started Project Life early this year, picture taking has been a weekly ritual for me if not daily. You can see me whipping out my camera phone whenever possible hoping to capture my everyday moments. iphone and Instagram have completely changed the way I take pictures and I love it. Fast and simple...just the way I want it. Here are some of my favorite shots taken last week....

(Top left - right: afternoon tea with my mom at Sushi King; pasta for lunch with my buddies; met my crafty girlfriends for lunch. Bottom left - right: me and abby; posing with her cute face; sleepy eyes while daddy shop for shoes)

The Love of My Life

I love this picture so much. If picture speaks a thousand words then this picture speaks a million to me. What I love about it is how beautiful and natural their smiles were! This was taken a day after Abby's first birthday party, we helped her open up her presents but this baby was more interested in the wrapper and boxes rather than the presents.....lol. While they were busy, momma had to snap some pictures of them....and this is what she gets. Bliss!

I was experimenting with picmonkey and super love their filter. They are free but you can join their membership to enjoy more privilege. I created my collage with them too. Check out their website and try on their free tools....you will love them.

Jillibean Soup: Friendship card and Happy Chinese New Year

Hello! Oh my, what a busy week it has been! With Chinese New Year celebration just right around the corner, I merely have time to blog. My project life is so behind that I don't even want to think about it. Lucky thing is I don't do it week by week....I only do whenever I have special moments that I want to capture so that it doesn't stress me out. I had a stressful week already....just yesterday I received a call from Abby's doctor. She had a fever and a mild diarrhea so my husbnad brought her to see a doctor. She called me on my cell phone to deliver news that every mother dreaded to hear....."I checked your daughter and I found out that she has irregular heartbeat". My world turned upside down for a moment and I was shaking. She then referred us to a specialist for a cardiac assessment to make sure that her heartbeat is normal. So we went and waited for almost 2 hours and THANK GOD she is normal. No irregular heartbeat. And everything is fine. Just what I wanted to hear. But her fever has not subsided and we are monitoring her from time to time. She has gone a bit cranky and she knows she has power upon us. But I let her be.....she has the privilege when she's sick :)

I am so rushing for time but just thought I should pop in here quickly to share a card I made for Jillibean Soup. I must say this is one of my favorite card....must be the color I think. You can visit the blog for more details.

To all my friends who are celebrating Chinese New Year, I want to wish you Gong Xi Fatt Chai and this year brings you health and happiness. They are more important than wealth right? Lol....
