Preparation for Chinese New Year
Can't believe that Chinese New Year is just a week+ away! Normally, around this time we would have prepare lots of stuff for the celebration. Sadly, this is not the case for this year. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the economy slowdown. Chinese New Year is supposed to be loud and merry but I just don't feel it right now. The only thing I look forward to is reunion dinner with my family. Ahem, I'll be the cook on that day. Still preparing my menu....have not decide what to cook yet but the dishes have to be new year dish.

ReplyDeleteI need to clean. Do you clean the whole house a week before Chinese New Year? For good luck I think :) I partially cleaned over the weekend but definitely need more!!
ReplyDeleteMy dad's side of the family is Chinese. But they've lived in Indonesia for ages (I think I'm the 5th generation) so the culture has gone astray and it's more Chinese-Dutch-Indonesian than anything else. When my grandpa was alive he use to have a get together at his home but that's no more.
