Hello there! I hope you are not getting sick of my cards yet. I have another card to show you. I know it's two post in a day...I promise this will be the last for today :)
For the butterflies, I used the Spellbinder die (belongs to Sheila) as mask and filled the color with Tsukineko ink. Who says ink are only for stamping. It can be used for coloring too! How cool! For the background, I used the script texture embossing folder by Cuttlebug (belongs to Sheila too). I lurrrve this embossing folder.....it make the background pop.
Have a great day! See ya!

Embellish the Cure Color Challenge with Bling
Happy Wednesday ladies!!
Today's card is made for Embellish the Cure Color Challenge with Bling hosted by the talented Ashley at Embellish Magazine. The challenge was to use colors like fuschia, light pink, grey and bling. How could I resist this challenge when pink and bling is involved...lol :)
I was looking at my Unity Stamp and thought the coffee cup stamp is perfect for this card because I wanted to give this to my bestie who loves coffee too. I did not color the coffee cup as I have to stick to the color combination. So what I did was I fill the empty space with glossy accents. I can't seem to leave stamped image without coloring...I just can't stand the emptiness. So when I can't color, I use glossy accents :)

Thinking of You
Hey there!
I finally got my September kit by Unity Stamp yesterday! Gosh...it took me more than a month to get them. I planned to subscribe to their monthly kit but due to the long shipping, I changed my mind. But I have to say that their stamps are so cute! No regret buying them though the long wait.
This is a card I made yesterday using the embossing folder by Cuttlebug. They are not mine though. Sheila lend me a few of her Cuttlebug embossing folders as well as Spellbinders die. I'm having tons of fun using them on my cards :)

A gift set for a special person
Happy Friday Ladies!! As promised, here's the project that I've been wanting to share with you. It's a gift set that I made for a special person.......my SIL!
The gift set contents include a minibook, a matching card and a compact blusher by Clinique. Have you try this blusher? You should because it gives you a natural rosy cheek. I love this!
Here's a closeup of the gift bag. Originally it's a rectangular box that I had keep for the longest time and decided to turned it into a gift bag......now that's recycling :) I cut the top flaps to create an opening and wrap it with the new embossed cardstock by Bazzill Basic. Then I punched a strip of white cardstock and adhered to the top edges. I punched four holes (two each; front and back) and added eyelets using my newly bought crop-a-dile. I used some polka dots ribbon to create the handles and finished it off with buttons (a girl like me can't seem get away with buttons, huh).
The card....using October Afternoon paper and die-cuts. The 'birthday' was my handwriting. Yes, you read it right....my handwriting. Big deal! At first I was intimidated to write but a after a few moments of contemplation, I finally give it a try (but you can still see the imperfectness).
The mini book......using paper from Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon and Making Memories.

Sweet Baby
Hello Ladies! Happy Thursday to y'all!
Seems like I haven't been posting in a long time....even though it's only been a few days. I've been really busy working on a project that took me a week to complete. But I can only show them to you tomorrow. So please come back again :)
Before I go on, I have two happy news to share. First, I won myself a blog candy hosted by Susan over at Imagine.Create.Express. Oh my....I was just too surprised for words! Thanks Susan!!
Second, remember the first sketch challenge hosted by Savitri and her adorable daugther M? GUESS WHAT?? I won the challenge because M picked my toaster and bread card! Yeay! I won a gift card for Julie Billingsley’s store at Sweet Shoppe Designs. Thanks for your pick, M!
Here's the card I made for the CARDS blog challenge. This time Paige challenged us to create simple, colorful, collage-y cards. My card was totally inspired by Kim Hughes card featured in the Nov 2009 issue of Cards as well as on their blog. You may check it out here.
Have you seen the latest collection of stamp by Crate Paper? You must if you haven't because they are just so cute and so fun! I used the Little Sprout collection on this card (if I remembered correctly)
I'm putting all my favourite things on this card....owl, tree, polka dots in pink, October Afternoon paper, tear edges, Fiskars border punch, MM letter stickers and a flower button! Ohh...I just love it!
I will be back tomorrow...see ya! Happy crafting!

Mix Feelings
Happy Friday ladies!! Are you feeling good today? I am very excited because tomorrow will be my first time teaching at Smidapaper. I have mix feelings actually. Some part of me are excited but somehow there are some part of me are actually nervous and afraid. Excited because I was given the opportunity to do something which I've been dreaming of doing. Nervous because I have never teach and since this is my first time, I'm not sure if I can handle it well. Afraid because I don't know if people would actually like my design and would want to learn from me. Arrgghh....I guess I'm too tense up. Any remedy to help me relax a bit? Have you been in this situation before? Please share with me....
I have a card to share with you today. I made this card a while back for a colleague who wanted to give this card to his gf for their one year anniversary.
Enjoy your day!

M's Sketch Challenge #1
Hellooo ladies!
Do you know this cute girl named Emma? I'm pretty sure most of you would have known her but if you don't, she's the adorable daugther of the sweet and funny Savitri. Cute lil Emma (or M as Savitri always called her) put up her first challenge and wanted us to join her. How fun! She's just as creative as momma! And how can I miss the challenge put up by a lil girl. This is her sketch. Yes, she draw it herself! Not only that, she also has some prize for the winning card :)
And here's my take on M's sketch.

I've been wanting to use this CC chipboard sticker and this sketch came in at the right time. And since I don't have any 'i like you' stamp, I thought I would use the coffee stamp set by Hero Arts which I first bought when I started making cards last year. The sentiment is 'i like you a latte'. So, I just inked the first three words and there you have it. I'm all smiles when I look at this card. Do you?

Good Companion
Good morning ladies! How was your weekend?? Mine was good! On Saturday, I spent the whole afternoon at Smidapaper and chit chatting with Sheila until she closed her store at 3pm. Then we went to a nice little cafe just behind her store to have some tea. We continued our chat and Sheila was so fun to chat with. I would say that it was enjoyable afternoon for me. There's this saying about time fly by quickly when you have good companion. I totally agree!
Anyways, I made this card a while back but have not gotten around to post it.. So I thought I will share it with you today. All the supplies are from Smidapaper except that I embossed the yellow cardstock with my Cuttlebug.
Have an enjoyable Monday!

My Bestie
(**sorry about the poor quality of the pic)
I think I mentioned about my bestie a couple of times here on my blog. So, I thought I would share a picture of us together at a wedding dinner that we recently attended. We've known each other through work for eight long years. We work in the same department but never got that close until a few years ago. She's my supporter, my confidante and most importantly, my daily lunch partner :) We are almost alike in terms of physical height (I'm 5ft 6"), hair style (look at our hair in the pic), taste for food, our sense of perspective and personality. She's one the most amazing people I've ever met and I thank God for a wonderful friend like her! I hope she don't find out that I post her pic here....she'll kill me...lol :)
Last week, she ordered three cards from me. This is the card I made using Laura's sketch from 2S4Y (woohoo! I get to play again this week). I played with my new stamps from Crate Paper and the sentiment is from Basic Grey. Look at that punched butterfly! Isn't it gorgeous?? It's from Martha Stewart (I really love MS stuff!).
Thanks for your time and I hope you are having a GREAT day! Tata!

Fab 7 at 2S4Y!!
Happy Monday to you my friends! Today, I am so excited because I have some good news to share with you! Do you still remember the vintage card I made for 2S4Y last week? Guess what? It was choosen as the Fab 7 this week! I am estatic and flattered all at the same time! Thanks so much, Kazan and Laura!
The other good news I want to share is that the amazingly sweet Sheila (the owner of Smidapaper) has given me the opportunity to conduct a card making class at her store this month! I'm super excited about it! I started making cards a little over a year and I never would have imagine that someday I will teach a class! If it's not for Sheila, I would not have come this far. And for this, I am thankful :) The only question in mind is 'Can I handle this'??
We have set the date to 0ct 17th and registration for the class will be open this week at their website. Hopefully I don't dissappoint :)
This card is made using October Afternoon papers, the Ducks In A Row line.
The little stroller is from a pack of 3D stickers I bought from a local craft store. Isn't it cute? Inside the card, I stitched a small money holder. I seriously need a sewing machine. Can someone please tell santa? lol
Happy cratfing!

Me....vintage??
Good morning! How's the weather over there? I woke up to a rainy day today which is good because the heat is just too much to bear. Though wet but I really enjoy the cool weather now :)
I received my scarlet lime kit a few days ago and I was pretty excited. The kit was packed with so many vintage stuff and for a second I didn't know what to do with them. Well, you know I don't create vintage card and I'm not sure if I can create one as well. But when my bestie saw the kit, she immediately ordered a birthday card from me and wanted me to create a vintage card for a 80+ year old lady. Thanks to her....I now know what to do with my new kit :)
For this card, I combined the kit with this week's 2S4Y sketch. I distressed the edges to give it a vintage look. I even handstitched the border cos my bestie saw the baby card I made earlier and she's drawn to the stitching. I'm not sure if this card is anything but vintage to you.........you tell me :)
Thanks for stopping by! And happy crafting
