Thank you for being so sweet on my last post! You all have been such a great friend to me! Now I know I will never be lonely when I have great company like you all! I just love the blogging community :)
I made a card last night using colors that I rarely use. In fact, it is so unpopular that cardmakers tend to shy away from using this color. I too find it a little intimidating but I braced myself and created this card anyway. By now you know what color I'm talking here. I can't tell if I like what I created but it's definitely too purple-ish for me :) If there are two things that I love from this card are the butterfly and the stamped doily. The butterfly is actually made of tissue using the buterfly die by PTI. I die-cut four butterflies and stamped each with polka dots before layer them together.
Be sure to come back again tomorrow as I have something to share :) Have a great day!
Love your butterfly and love this card.
ReplyDeletewow... I love the combo though... its true what you said... when I check my loots...hardly I see purple... he he... but you did it so well....love it...xx

ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy we shy away from purple?! I know I do too! Well, my dear friend this is just adorable! I love that tissue paper butterfly and will have to try stamping after die cutting it. Your layout and that doily stamp (who made that btw?) are spot on.

ReplyDeleteI just recently picked up a couple different colors of purple cardstock as sadly I didn't have any.
my dear this is just gorgeous. Love your techniques.. seriously, everytime I see your creations, I learn something new..for today, it has got to be the polka dots tissue butterfly. :D
ReplyDeleteNo matter how much I adore purple in real life, I find it hard to craft with them too... but here you did a fantastic job! Love your stamped doily and tissue butterfly!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice, I barely noticed the purple!
ReplyDeleteI love how you cut the butterfly out of tissue (brilliant!!) and that doily - did you use an actual doily or a rubber stamp of a doily? Either way, it's so pretty!!
Wow! Beautiful card and sentiment!! I love that lace stamp in white!
ReplyDeleteThis card is all types of gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great, and I love purple almost as much as I love pink. Ya know...I was thinking about purple the other day and realized that there just isn't much DP with purple in it. Not sure why. I would use it until the cows came home. Actually I think my next card will be purple. :)
ReplyDeletePurple is not my color for scrapbooking.. it is so hard to work with this color. but I like your card, yes, especially the doily and buttefly.
ReplyDeletewow the doily turn out nice... great use of the stamp... i love the color...

ReplyDeleteYea, most ppl aint to keen on the color purple. But I must say you did a darn good job, although it is a strong color but you manage to soften it with that gorgeous stamp and butterfly. You're a genius girlfriend
