Spread you wings and fly!

Last week, I got a visit from a special friend and spent four wonderful days by showing her around Penang or rather food hunting :) I guess most of you already know who this special friend is but if you don't, she's Jessy, the talented  babe from KL! It was really fun having her around and she was such a great companion! Every night before we went to bed, we'll have our little chat just about everything and it made me feel like I was a teenager again (psst...I'm not that old anyway, lol). Sheila even invited us for dinner on Friday and we had a good laugh the entire time! I'll be going to KL next month and I can't wait to see her again!

After I dropped off Jessy at the airport yesterday, I went home feeling greatly inspired that I whip up this card using colors that I rarely use. I was definitely out of my comfort zone while creating this card. The big beautiful butterfly die cut is a RAK by Jessy and you know how much I love my butterfly :) I combined a few different techniques on this card and I love how this turned out to be. I hope you like it too!

    These are the colours that I find it very difficult to work with too, but you handled them so well that they look absolutely gorgeous here!

    wowee.. this is just just gorgeous.. I love the way you have distressed the butterfly.. burnt ages of the flower, use lace over cardstock, strings of pearls to reflect the flight.... distressed white ages.. and the sentiment.. wowee.. very pretty...

    This is truly gorgeous. Such a fabulous design with fantastic colours - I just want to reach out and touch it!! The embossed background is perfect and adds so much texture and detail. Just beautiful!

    Gee I'm jealous you & Jess got to hand out together for 4 days & eat great food! Sounds like my idea of fun ;-D Love that pretty card to. She also sent me some of those extra special butterflies in a rak!
