Fun Stuff!

Hello there!! Hope you are having a fabulous day! I am sure I do.

Before I go on to share my cards, let me show you the sketch that prompted today's cards. I've never share this before but each time I create, I have to have a sketch or a plan before I start. Be it my own or someone else's sketch. I always keep a sketch book near me and jot down whenever an idea pop up. So I thought it would be fun to share with you the sketch I did yesterday and the cards I created based on it. Feel free to use the sketch if you want to....that's why I am sharing here :) Do let me know if you create a card based on the sketch. I'd be happy :)

All supplies except the kraft card base and buttons are from October Afternoon. I will never get tired of it :) Btw, see my handriwting right there? Yes, terrible I know. I am still learning to like my own handwriting :)

This is the first travel card I've ever made using paper from Studio Calico, paperclips from Glitz Design and letter stickers from Jilibean Soup. The travel tag is from Scarlet Lime. A real simple card....just cut and paste :)

Have a great day my beautiful friends! Hugs to y'all!

  1. I do the same thing! I have a little purple 'ideas' book where I sketch the idea, plus mark out the papers and colors I'll use. It let's me craft all day without being in my craft room. And today's cards are just gorgeous by the way!

  2. So great that you work with sketches! I normally never work with them and just slap on different things as I go...I love both of your cards, so sweet! The bon voyage card has such a wonderful vintage feel to it, those clips are to die for, yum!

  12. hehe... I will use sketches if it's provided but I have never drawn my own sketch. It's mostly in my head... and I guess I'm more 'free-style' in that sense :D

  13. The sketch is a nice idea. I don't ever do that, I just do whatever comes to mind or whatever I feel like and sometimes, while I am working on a card, it takes a whole new direction! I Guess I like the surprise!
